Blackmail within the Gay community

    I hope some people can help me. I am looking for information from anybody in relation to blackmail within the gay community in Dublin.Have you or anyone you know been blackmailed. This is a very serious issue which has just recently been brought to my attention.

    blackmailled withing the gay community ? Do you mean threatened with disclosure if you are not out ? otherwise I don't get you.

    If thats what you mean I guess such a situation might eventually be expected. Anyways "blackmail" suggests been forced to comply with some ones demands (money/sex etc) due to something wrong you have done.

    In the sense you speal of there is very little you could do if the guy is threatening to disclose ..the truth. Though I guess there might be an issue of nuisance that the gardai might follow up .

    Yes, I have heard there is at least one individual threatening to out people if they do not produce a certain amount of money.

    I would like to hear from anyone who has been threatened or knows of anyone who has been threatened.

    In other news I was reading how a political party in Northern Ireland was spying on DUP and UUP politicians to get dirt on them and their homosexual tendencies so it could be leaked at the most opportune times.
