Does anyone remember this British series that used to be on BBC and sometimes RTE. It involved a man placed in awkward situations, but the funny thing is that he never talked.

Hmm not really too retro but bow could anyone forget it? :) RTE used to show it again and again. I have the DVD, pity there was only 12 or 13(I think) episodes made.

I even have the official mr.bean teddy. :o

Mr Bean was CLASS!! :D , 'Merry Christmas Mr Bean' was one of my favourites, when he got his head stuck in the turkey! haha (another comedy series used that prank too! ).

Mr Bean is possibly an alien *note the start, dropping down in the beam of light*, in a couple of episodes he couldnt even remember his nationality. But I think Rowan himself remarked that the dropping from a beam of light was supposed to symbolise an ordinary....if a little special....guy being put in the spotlight.

While we're on comedy series, anyone remember 'Bottom'?? That was brill, Eddy and Richie, beating each other up for the hell of it :D

Mr Bean was brilliant :D The fact that he couldn't talk properly made it so much better.

I think the christmas one was where he went to the new year sales and had to improvise with his car when he bought too much. that was so great.

Though they made a terrible mistake when they made the cartoon serise

The film was fairly poor, nothing to do with the series really. :( I would have preferred a full length film of Mr.Bean mishaps.

The film was poor because there was a lot of talking in it, and even Mr Bean said quite a few things.

Yep the 5 minute speech was the thing everyone was talking about, boo to that. :( Bring back the old series.

Atkinson was class in that series. Making me laugh when hes not able to speak is the sign of a great character actor!

Any one remember the scene where he is changing in to his swimming trunks on the beach, putting it over his pants first, so that a guy on the beach couldnt see, at the end your man was blind! pure class

Anyone remember te running joke, he used to always manage to run some poor cnut in a blue van off the road?

I remember an episode where he went to the beach and somehow found himself having to mind a baby. He attached a load of baloons to the kids pram and he floated off.

I loved the episode where he was packing for his holidays but only had a small suitcase....half emptying the tootpaste, cutting his trousers into shorts (he even threatened to behead his famous teddy!).....
In the end after spending ages minimising everything he found a bigger case:)

    :D Brilliant.
Anyone remember the ep where Richard Wilson (1 foot in the grave) did a cameo as Bean's dentist? Mr.Bean is late for the app and getting dressed in his yellow mini! He then stabs the dentist with the anasthetic syringe!
The xmas ep with his gf is good, as is the one where he goes to the cinema with her to see what appears to be nightmare on elms street!

My favourite was when he was in the queue to meet the Queen and ended up head-butting her.
The film 'Bean' they made years ago was pretty good also.
There's a new Mr.Bean film coming out soon, am I the only one that knows this?

Mr Bean made it big time with the airlines. Smut free comedy with little dialogue made it suitable for all ages and and nationalities. He looked dumb but was one cute hoor. My favourite was painting the room with the paint bomb, a classic.

Yup, Mr Bean was brilliant. Ironically I watched the Christmas one in the early hours of this morning on Paramount 2 I think.

It is one of the last good comedy shows to come from ITV in my opinion.

One of my favs has to be the lunch scene.

Angus Deaton (sp?) makes a guest appearance with a store bought lunch and Mr. Bean sits next to him and starts making his lunch. I saw it there again the other week and was laughin my head off!
