hi again, i finally broke through the barrier (vodafone and their amzing unworking website) and downloaded all settings as detailed, not specifc to my phone however as it isn't listed.

my problem now id that although i have set up my ohone to the vodafone settings whenever i try to connect to gprs live! i get a "please subscribe to packet data" followed by "no links"

Could anyone tell me what the problem may me. i followed the instructions to set up my phone to the letter so i haven't made any mistakes.

That used to happen to me also OP, I gave vodafone a call and they done something with my account and then it worked fine. For future reference please post mobile related problems in the Mobiles/PDAs forum.

thanks for your help, really appreciated. just for interest, what is deemed technology in your dictionary, if you wouldn't mind i would like to keep my post open, and would appreciate helpful replies.

just to clear up any mix up, i would deem a mobile phone as a piece of technology, and as there is no specific forum discussing the topic i have brought, with the exception of a -"sub-board"- under mobiles and PDA's that no one seems to visit.

There seems to be quite a substantial thread turnover on Mobiles/PDAs

Regardless of whether people visit it or not you're still in the wrong forum.
