    Hi there

Rang for few garden centres but only appear to have palms and banana plants. Is there any good garden centres around cork city or county that have rare or unusual plants. I kind something for a present.

    Thanks for the help

Hi, It depends on how much money you want to spend. A tree fern is a great plant which don't really need a s much looking after as you may think. Depending on the size you want depends on the price. A large one gives instant tropical intrest but may cost you a few bob - I got one ( five foot) in B & Q about two years ago for € 170.

Give me an idea of how much you are willing to spend and how big you are prepared to let the plant get and I'll give you any help I can

I think the limit is really 100E, but want to get unusual plants, even the munster area would be fine to look in.
