just got a big 5 litre bottle of agricultural roundup to for the drive and of course there is n o instructions for mixing with a watering can it says that the whole bottle will do 12.6 acres with a sprayer, so can any one guess how much would be needed for a 10l watering can, any help appreciated

200ml per gallon as far as I know. You could put a bit extra in to be sure but it's strong stuff. You'll be a long time using up your 5Lt:D

    Hello Dermot2468.
If its "Roundup Biactive", you will need approx 150ml of herbicide to 10 litres of water.
I suggest using a knapsack sprayer rater than a watering can, the can is very wasteful of the herbicide.

Oops, I put it on a bit strong so. Two weeks since application and everything is dead, so job done.;)

I'll second what Irish Gardener says about using a knapsack sprayer. Much easier to get an even application. You can hire them for a few quid a day if you dont have one.

Don't forget to wear a mask that stuff is way toxic!
and not one of those el cheapo white dusk masks either, the real mccoy disposable filter job will do just fine.
