    life imitating poker and so forth...

    Tricky Dicky Nixon was an excellent poker player - he financed his first Senate election campaign with the cash he won off his fellow officers in WW2- he also used to regularly fleece the White House press corps in seven card stud on Air Force One.
    Several other presidents have also been famously good at poker.

    I have a nasty feeling that GWB wouldn't last 5 minutes in the Fitz (or even the SE) and Blair doesn't look like he'd know a flush from a straight...if they did, the world might be a better place. On the other hand that Sheikh Nasrallah dude is hard to read and plays his hand very strongly - if it wasn't against his religion, I suspect he'd go well in the WSOP!

    About 75% OT but thoughts on a depressing Monday am??

    Mike the Mouth for Senator!

    With all the stardom that comes with poker these days and the charade that is the USA government (Schwarzenegger) I wonder if a big name will make it into politics. I'm not sure I'd like them throwing their chips around any more than they do at the moment, all in with nuclear flush draws could spell disaster!
