    hello can someone tell me what licence is required to drive a camper van / motorhome? is a c licence required or would a b licence suffice

    If the gross vehicle weight (GVW) is less than 3,500kg then a category B licence would suffice. The GVW is the total weight of the vehicle, fuel etc, water, contents and passengers.

    If the GVW is more than 3,500 kg but less than 7,500 kg, a category C1 licence is required.

    If it is more than 7,500kg a category C licence is required.
