Making an image of BF2 and BF42

Lo all,
Just wondering what would be a good tool for making an image of BF2, and BF42, to stop me from having to manually swap disks if I want to play DC_Final instead of BF2?

Bf2's dick checks are pretty comprehensive, and could get you banned, So you could download "deamon tools" I think it is and make a virtual drive with the bf1942 disk.

Feck. Was gonna do a full disk thing, and not a mini-one. I'll ask at the EA forums

Haven't used my original bf2 DVD since i bought the game last year.

alcohol120% you wont have any problems.
safer to use an image, especially at LANs.
you dont have to be swapping and changing dvd's all the time.

speaking of LAN's fuzzy what format will the bf2 tourny be? infantry?

Either deamon tools or alcohol (uses the same engine afaik) will do the job. I've made images of both of all the battlefield games and have run them no problems.

Im getting a lot of imput from both sides here.
teh kids with their tanks, and the INF players.
I want to run INF, but I think that the tankiddies will be less accomodating than the inf players. ie: inf players will play with vehicles with little hassle, but other players wont play inf only without a great deal of whingeing, or at all.
So probably just conquest with vehicles.

Alcohol120% is the one you want alright.Even the trial version is free for 14 days,enough to copy the discs you want.I have BF42 ,BFV,and BF2 on image.me thinks on the trial version you get 8 vertual drives also:D

Thats fine then, if your running with vehicles make sure theres a few heli maps,

what would be the point of heli's on a 6v6 format? 12 players on a 32 player map? no thanks.

best small maps, inf based preferably, it sthe only way to run competitive bf2 and in line with outher lan comps taking place in the bf community.

Thanks for the info lads. I'll do it tomorrow, with alcohol120% as Daemon Tools can't seem to make images

With small numbers playing, ie 6 v 6, then inf is the way to go. Consider that you are taking experienced players to an event where most are not experienced, what will happen is that the more experienced players will end up nicking the other teams vehicles etc.

I take it by that comment that tig are making an appearance? how many of your lads are coming? maybe get a large game going?
