Has anybody noticed that on the NASN website it mentions that it is in negotiations with the NFL for next season's coverage? Anybody know what that means? Could they be getting games themselves to show or do Sky Sports have a definate exclusive rights thing? Anybody able to shed light please do...

Also dunno whether this is in right place so feel free to move it if needs be (its double posted in the Satellite thread)

mightn't be live games. Could be just increased magazine style coverage although with games being shown live on the NFL Network in the USA, it does open up a new rights package. Fingers crossed

Confirmed as live games, according to this they'll be showing a minimum of 4 live games a week. From NASN schedule and NFL TV schedule it looks like they'll be showing the Monday Night game and some of the normal sunday games. It doesn't look like they're getting the rights to the Sunday Primetime game.

I don't think that that's for us, checked myself and I reckon thats Europe's schedule, not UK & Ireland... Still says that they're in negotiations so we'll have to wait and see... But hopefully...

You're correct - that's for Europe. Nothing confirmed for UK and Ireland yet.

This link is marked with region= ie and AFAIK NASN don't do different content in different countries.

Edit, just checked on the Ireland front page and it still has the "in negotiations" bit. Sorry for jumping the gun.

Yeah, they have live NFL for Europe. Cincinatti v Washington was live last night, and Kansas v Giants is on Thurs night. Doesn't look like it's coming here though.

Just noticed that on Sky, you know when you don't have a channel and you go to it you get that blue screen thing with info? Anyway the NASN one used mention NFL but it's now being changed to American Football...

Don't knbow whether it means anything or what, just noticed it, thats all...

NASN seem to have removed any mention of NFL at all from their website. So that seems to suggest that the negotiations between NASN and the NFL did not go well for NASN. Damn it! I subscribed to NASN this year mainly for college football, but was hoping for some NFL stuff too.

Between this and the absolutely AWFUL selection of collecge games, I may end up cancelling NASN. I sure don't subscribe to watch Steriod Ball and Canadian Rules, eh.
