VC poker probs

Signed up for a VC poker account tonight as they had a 60% first deposit bonus advertised.
Checked details on site and no mention of promo points so I figured happy days and put 200 in.

Play 2 $10 1x1 turbo games and both games froze and while complainging to manager found out that there is a 9000 point requirement on the 60% deposit, despite the fact that they don't advertise it (It's hidden down near the end of the T&C's on a different page).

Anyone else had similarly bad experiences with them ? At this stage I've only been a member 2 hours but already tempted to cash out (and before anyone suggest PP, I already have an account with them).

Most VC (and Tribeca) bonuses are 125 points per dollar bonus. You get roughly 100 points for every $1 you rake them in cash or in a tourney, so the bonus is worth about 80% of your rake (100/125).
Its actually a reasonable bonus, a lot of sites are closer to 60%.

The 'freezing thing', sounds like it might be a prob at your end - I've been on VC since 8ish with no problems (except being at a table with a guy called omnipotent7 who is the most obnoxious Yank ever).

    AJs.

I got so fed up with VC freezing up on me in recent weeks (combined with bloody useless customer service) that I emptied my account last week, think I may have been a bit hasty now though.. ............. tried to set up an account with doyles room.. only to be told that if I wanted to use a visa card to deposit they would need photo id and utility bills to be sent to the US !! The online "host" initially told me that my card had "gambling restrictions" placed on it, nearly choked on my beer when i heard that gem.

so, feck that I thought, went over to William Hill, halfway through the registration I kept getting error messages saying I had to enter my postcode in Western Alpha numeric characters, strange I thought, coz that's what i'm typing in, so call them up and was told I would have to reset my browser to work Western instead of unicode, I've never come across another website that forced me to do this and can't see a good reason for it (from a customer service view).

Why, with all this money they are making, can these poker sites not provide a reasonable level of customer service?

rant over, and no game to play

I don't want to point out the obvious but just incase you didn't think of it they do accept scans to be emailed to them.
