I know that ESPN are offering a PPV on the final table, but does anyone know if we can get that on cable?
I don't fancy watching it online as i'd prefere to relax in front of the tv :D

    cheers

No, I dont think its even being broadcast live here in the states. We may cover it but considering that people can get it from ESPN, unless there is an Irish interest, we might just get drunk instead. (we've just started coverage now over on Antesup in fact).

no i meant the "final table". Its been broadcast live on espn...both online and on tv. Was wondering how do we get it here, because sky package does'nt include espn.

I was wondering this myself. I have heard rumours that NASN may be showing it on PPV on Sky but it could be complete bull either. The Sky menu doesnt go that far yet so i havent been able to confirm either way. I dont know if i would bother paying for it unless there is Irish interest in it or a few big names tho.

yeah i can't find it either on their site. don't know how to go about getting it. Might just ring up sky and see what they have to say. Would be great to sit down and watch final table live.

We reported that yesterday over on Antesup. I'll ask the ESPN crew here but they are notoriously c*ntish dickheads tbh.

We're trying to find a way to keep you guys updated because they have (wait for it) sold the online reporting rights to AOL apparently. If it wasnt bolted down Harrahs have branded and sold it. I can feel a rant coming on so I'll sign off.

WORLD SERIES OF POKER FINAL TABLE LIVE! - This year - for the first time ever - the World Series of Poker Final Table will be made available to watch LIVE on ESPN pay-per-view. Watch your favorite players outwit, bluff and fold as it happens. One skilled player will walk away with a jackpot of $10 Million!

i just cant imagine many of my fav players will be in this.

It's idiotic that they don't accept neteller for the $25 that they are charging to watch it!!! You would think someone would of thought of that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Any clarification on whether or notthey will be revealing the players cards during the broadcast?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 474 ✭✭delanec8

I would be amazed if they did show the hole cards. It would be a joke if they did. Im sure the players who make it there would object.

I definitely will when im there:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Yes but I cant see too many people willing to pay for this if they cant see any cards. I mean I cant see the percentage of hands going to showdown being very high, Less then 25% I would imagine, I could be way off the mark mind you.

I read on 2+2 today that they won't be showing hole cards. How exciting would 14 hours of that be???!

I remember listening to last years commentary on the final table and it seemed like hardly any hands went to a showdown. If they get Hellmuth to commentate on it again with lots of other pros joining in like last year i think it would be great value at $30.
