Right so, not since December 2000 have The Bluetones played in Dublin but alas they are back playing on the 27th of September in Craw Daddy.

Never thought they'd be back in these shores to be hoenst so can't wait myself. Anyone going? Probably one for the more mature boards clientele amoungst us.

Theres a new album on the way alright, should be finished around now. They've got back the same producer as the first two albums, which can only be a good thing.

Good stuff. Luxembourg didnt really do anything for me, apart from maybe 3 or 4 songs. Expecting To Fly and Science & Nature still stand up today as great records, and maybe one day they will get the respect they deserve, although thats probably unlikely seen as they receive absolutely zero coverage in the music press these days.

    Just got this ticketmaster email:

    Rescheduled Venue
    Date: 27 September 2006
    Original Venue: Crawdaddy, Dublin
    Rescheduled Venue: The Village, Dublin

Due to unforeseen circumstances The Bluetones performance at Crawdaddy, Dublin on Wednesday 27 September 2006 has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday 27 September at The Village, Dublin.

Promoters are asking that patrons hold on to their tickets for the original performance at Crawdaddy as they will be valid for the rescheduled performance at The Village, Dublin.

It just got moved to the Village, what a let down, moved from a cool intimate venue to a slightly bigger venue where you can't see the stage or hear music unless you're near the front, a terrible venue !

what a load of sh!te, it just got moved to the worst venue in the country

only saw them once, at the big day out in Galway 1996 supporting Radiohead, was excellent, going home home later to dust off "Expecting to Fly" ah the nostalgia!

So anyone still going to this? Looking forward to it myself. The new album is really good, some really good catchy tunes on it.
