I was wondering if anyone could advise me on the cheapest option for developing rolls of film? I'm back from holidays with 8 rolls and I was wondering if there were certain places in Dublin who did it cheap or web services I could avail of?

You mean somebody still shoots film?! I think City Pharmacy or Pixels are the cheapest decent places in Dublin, although there may be cheaper options. Just steer clear of Boot's, and probably Spectra, which is where Boot's send theirs to (I think)

What kink of film ? Is it just bog standard Fuji or Kodak , or is it specialised , any Ilford BW , Velvia or anything like that ?

If is just bog standard C-41 , then try your local pharmacy , who will probably give you free rolls and charge about 5 euro per roll for developing , that process is almost idiotproof these days , if its anything specialised , then go to Gunns or somewhere like that. Anywhere else will just screw it up .

Boots 3 day service is pretty cheap tbh. If not, go to your local Fuji centre, it ain't too bad there. Cheaper again if you get them put straight onto CD!

Ender Ender, loads of people still shoot film!

what about getting 120 processed in Dublin? who is good and is the price reasonable or am I better firing it off to the UK? (about €5 a roll for processing)

Fajitas, I think film is addictive alright, I started off with one camera now I've about 7!

Darragh, Gunn's process 120 for a fiver a roll I think, but I don't think they print them. Try Conn's on Clarendon Street too...

Excelsior - if you just want to get the rolls developed rather than printing everything then drop into Gunn's & ask them how much it'll be to get the shots developed & put onto CD. After that you can pick & choose the best ones. It's what i do & it's cost effective.

ender ender you're just too subtle for your own good sometimes ;) gizza shout if you're heading into that performance championship thingy tomorrow I may wander in myself.

If you save up and bring in a few more films you will be able to barter a bit.
There's a spectra in Dun Laoghaire and they give you a free roll of film and a free album & you don't even need to barter for that...
Cover the ouside of the album with a bit of paper and it looks grand!

I went in on Sunday and everything Peter but I got drenched and just went home. There's talk of them making it an annual do, though...
