When trying to install software my pc comes up with this error number...

    Error 1327: Invalid Drive: G:

Does anyone know how to sort this out?

    Thanks a million.

The PC is a packard belll...the problem seems to be with dreamweaver and software for a canon digital camera. During the installation a 'windows installer' tab opens and from there I get the error. I have tried looking at the registry to check whether there is a G: drive, but to no avail.

    Thanks

Sounds like it might be naming your camera as Drive G perhaps.

One solution to this would be to ditch Windows and buy an Apple mac. Then you wont see errors like this.
This error is infact to do with InstallShield corrupting files and nothing to do with windows, Macs also have their problems, I think I had this prob on my old pc, rectifyings very straightforward:
    1.) Go into C:\Program Files\Common Files
2.) Look for a InstallShield or InstallShield information folder and rename it, try re-running setup ;)

    Good luck

Plug in camera and see what drive letter assigned, if wrong letter just change it in disk management to whatever drive letter you like except C:

    21/25
