Ah Deadparrot....sure we're all in the one boat...and its sinking by the looks of things ;)

Anyway for my part, I have one fancy today.

Me aul mate Karl Burke has Precocious star running in the 315 @ Sandown. Seb Sanders is booked and she has the added advantage of 2 wins and a place under belt now versus a hot fav who has only had one race to date.
She steps up in company and distance today but could be a shout to turn over an even money fav :D

I prefer Burkes horses at a bigger price but I'll take a 9/2 winner if it comes my way today :p

Just sticking to the Limerick card as I'm heading there this evening.

5.55 is a Maiden and is probably worth avoiding but I'll be having a small bet on Night Cam to keep things interesting, with little expectations of a successful outcome. A new comer from the Prendergast yard with Declan McDonogh who is firing brilliantly the last few weeks. Courtwood is the major danger.

The 6.25 race is fairly difficult to call. As I write this I'm in two minds about what to go for. Ireland's Call is well up in the weights so I'm ignoring it. Lily Elsie won well last time out and is also up in the weights but it's an O' Brien and Fallon combination so it should be plenty short. Vicky Lane did well last time out in Killarney as well, but I'm going to go for Kleinova who has had two fairly decent successive runs. Weight distance and going seem to be ok, and Murtagh is on board. As well as this bet, I'm going to have an e/w bet on Victoria Night who won well three runs ago but went to pieces after that. First time blinkers today suggest it may have been finding it hard to concentrate, and Smullen takes the mount which is another positive.

6.55 Our Monty should go close today. It's first outing was over heavy ground and Kinane got a good enough ride out of it for the first 6f of that race but it faded away and finished 9th. Then Fran Berry took over, and he tried a different style - holding it up and trying to come off the pace, which failed to work. Kinane is back in the saddle today, and if he can give it a similar ride to the last one he gave then there's no reason Our Monty can't win this. The drop in trip should suit.

7.25 Drive On has Davey Russell back in the saddle but is up considerably in the weights. Depending on the betting at Limerick I might follow this one, but I'll be keeping a keen eye on Holly Tree, who won a novice hurdle back in Jan very convincingly with Nina, didn't do well after that and then took a break until last week. We still aren't sure how it will take to the going today, but I expect it to do well if January's form is anything to go by. I'll be dutching on these two.

7.55 is a horrible contest, but I'm going to give Shalimar Lady a small e/w bet just because of the Nina factor.

8.25 Mr Newton did very well last time out in a Maiden Hurdle. It's out today carrying the same weight with Ruby on board. It's being tried 2f further though, and considering it's last run was a after a break you'd imagine it would be able for the 2f extra today.

8.55 Maxi did very well last time out finishing second to Tusa an Fear in Killarney and a repeat performance of that should be enough to beat these.

Just to note, I'm not getting too heavily involved in this today. It's Limerick a few days before the Galway races so there should be some crazy results.
