Owen Drummond out of ROT 5

I'm afraid so.

Last night at the very last night of training, Drummo (while doing 30% VT) dislocated, and badly damaged, his fingure. He can't make a fist. We waited until this morning to assess the situation. He is on his way to the Hospital which is why I am posting. On Drummo's behalf;

Many thanks to John Kavanagh and Paddy Clint for allowing us to train with them for the last few weeks.
Many thanks to all the guys who we trained with over the last while.
Man thanks to all those who support ROT and MMA in Ireland, we are sorry we can't put on a good show for you.

And absolute appologies to Micky Young, who is a class act and a great fighter, and his team, sorry that you trained as much as you did in vain!

Lastly, good luck to all the fighters, event staff and fans, ROT is a great event we'll be "ringside" making a racket!!!

A ROT without Drummo is like Christmas without Santa.

Also, it sucks for Micky Young as well.

Ah that's a shame. He's been there from day 1. I'm sure he earned his rest.

Just got back from the hospital. The tendon in my finger was pulled so hard that it snapped off a little bit of bone *ouch*

I'm gutted I won't be able to fight.

As Pearse already said, I'd like to thank John And Paddy and everyone I trainined with in SBG for helping me train for this fight.

I'd also like to extend my most sincere apologies to Mickey Young.

ROT is an amazing show, I shouldn't really plug it because its sold out but pick up the DVDs from Straight Blast Gym, they rock!!

I made the mistake of going with my gut instead of my head last time. Won't happen again against a worthy foe like yourself...:D
