NTR to raise €150m for expansion

    July 26, 2006 12:04
Tolling and infrastructure group NTR has reported profits of €22.2m for the 15 months to the end of March. The company has changed its financial reporting period, so the comparative results are for the 12 months of 2004. Profits in that period were €19.7m. Group turnover jumped by almost 78% to €468m.

Chief executive Jim Barry said its priority for the roads division was to reach agreement with the National Roads Authority on the future of the West Link bridge. The Government wants to replace conventional tolling with an electronic system.

Tolling revenue at National Toll Roads increased from €43m to €62.5m. NTR said it was bidding for further public private partnership roads projects with its partner Celtic Roads. Irish Broadband revenue rose from €2.2m to €8.2m, with customer numbers climbing to 25,000.

Looks like the Pee deal is paying handsome dividends
