Does anyone know when tickets are likely to go on sale? I would imagine it won't be until after the Galway Westmeath game on Sunday so just wondering how soon after?
Also does anyone know what type of ticket allocation ticketmaster will get? Normally get tickets for the more important games through the clubs but my contacts there are not in country for the next while.

cheers Bluetonic, does that mean ticketmaster aren't getting any? I'll give Croke Park a call if that's the case.

They'll probably get 4 sections as per usual, Usually the ends of the Hogan and the sides of the Canal, and mostly always upper only.

ok, wasn't sure if they were getting any. yeah any time I've got them through ticketmaster it's been the upper tier, it's not too bad on the Hogan or Cusack though, prefer it to the Canal End anyway.

    thanks again

Bluetonic (or anyone else) - Do you think I'll be able to get tickets for this game from the Leinster Council?
I got my Leinster Final tickets from them a week or so before that game - will they be allocated some for the next rounds?

    Thanks folks

As it's not a game run under the auspices of the Leinster Council i.e. it's All Ireland series, you will not be able to obtain tickets through the Leinster Council (i'm open to correction on this).

The Leinster Council don't have an allocation.

As per above give Cumann Lúthchleas Gael a ring. They'll have your details on record already from buying from the Lenister Council.

    Thanks for the info Bluetonic.
Is there a special phone no to call for them?
EDIT - scrap that. Just saw the info on your post. Cheers man. I'll give it a shot :)

just a quick update. Called Croke Park booking office, all Hogan and Cusack tickets are going through the clubs, Canal End are currently available from the booking office and I think on the 1st of Aug remaining Canal End tickets will be released on ticketmaster.

I say for this match very few will go to the general public.

I say clubs will get most of the tickets they asked for.

I hope for my club anyway.

We don't find out till the Thursday of the game

Less tickets to the Dublin clubs than there were for the Leinster final.

    Do the maths!
    Dublin seeking majority of tickets
    26 July 2006

Dublin chiefs are hoping to secure in excess of 50,000 tickets for their All-Ireland football quarter-final against either Westmeath or Galway.

This follows confirmation that the game will take centre stage at Croke Park on Saturday, August 12 after Mayo’s quarter-final against the winners of Laois and Offaly was put back 24 hours to Sunday, August 13 to be played as a curtain-raiser to the Kilkenny-Clare All-Ireland hurling semi-final.

There were fears of a severe ticket shortage when it was announced that Dublin’s game would be part of a double-header with the Mayo game, but tickets should be much more accessible now that Dublin’s game is a stand-alone fixture.

Dublin chairman Gerry Harrington explained that the Dubs sold their allocation of 60,000 tickets for the Leinster final against Offaly in record time and that interest will be just as great for the All-Ireland quarter-final.

“60,000 is more than you’d normally get for a match like that, but they were all gone by four o’clock on the Wednesday. That never happened before,” he said.
Harrington added that Dublin expected to receive at least 50,000 tickets for the All-Ireland quarter-final.

“It all depends on who we will be playing. If it’s Galway they’ll be looking for 20,000-25,000 tickets I’d imagine, and slightly less for Westmeath.

“Then there will be other counties around the country looking for them as well. We’d hope to get in the region of 50,000 and we’ll take as many as we can get.”

I would say there will be close to zero on public sale. Any that do, will sell very quickly. I cant see any problems with clubs getting stand tickets. Hill tickets will be short as they always are tho. Same with my club, Thursday before the game. Im only looking for 1 Hill ticket so should be fine anyway *fingers crossed*

In case you haven't read all the above posts, tickets have been on sale to the public since Monday lunchtime, and they still haven't sold out yet.

By the way, the direct dial for the Croke Park ticket office is 01-8658657. Got my three Upper Canal End tickets (can't bring myself to call it the Davin Stand!!) yesterday so I'm happy out.

Remaining allocation is now up on ticketmaster for anyone who's missed out so far.
Seems to be just lower Canal (Davin) as expected.

Just got mine on Ticketmaster. Lower Cusack, but inside Croke Park, which is all that matters. :D
