Advice: All in one Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax/Answerphone

A friend is wanting to buy an All in one Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax/Answer phone..... they have a laptop and want to be able to print remotely (have wireless laptop)...also want a printer with two cartridges (one black/one colour)..... won't be printing photos but want good quality printer... and don't want to spend the earth but willing to pay decent money ... thats about it ...

Anyone recommend one? Thanks.

they would want to try and get one where the scanner door/lid has 2 hinges so that you can scan thngs appart from sheets of paper. ie books.

Printer/copier/scanner all in one is possible, but not one including phone/fax. Or at least I've never come across one. HP make some good ones. but I would be able to recommend one model over another tbh.

Thanks for all your replies guys... I'll check out to see if I can get a HP one... I just checked the argos brochure and they have all in ones with phone/fax (not with answerphone)... I think I'll just head into some of the shops to see what they have - thanks again....

Well as far as I can tell all in one printers that also function as a fax will only allow you to scan single sheets of paper. You wouldn't be able to copy or scan a book or magasine for example.

It doesn't have wireless :rolleyes: Has fax, but no handset afaik

I should read slower. Has an ethernet port which can be plugged into wireless router.

Thanks Petes and Irlrobbins.... maybe my friend is better off getting a separate phone/fax and a separate proper all in one printer/scanner/copier - as you say Irlrobbins - only being able to copy sheet of paper and not mags etc is an important point to consider, one I hadn't thought of... I reckon it would be a bit of a pain and a bit of a waste to have something you couldn't use fully... Anyways......... thanks again guys... appreciate it..:)

I've had a HP G85 all-in-one machine for years, I know it's an older model but it's got a flat bed scanner & fax in it as well as being a v. good printer too....

Any similar models on this link should do the trick for your friend...

Try te Hp 5610 @ 199 (Harvey normans)doesnt have wireless though but you could buy your own wireless print server from komplett or somwher:)
