Does anyone know what the story is with Chorus and their crappy epg - will they ever change it... poor aul channel 6 has got to have the crapiest ratings ever - i certainly don't ever think of watching it - all the way down on number 106!! The epg is ever so slow - and often it's not updated - for example last night was 3 hours behind!

I'd imagine that they gave Channel 6 programme position 106, as once UPC merges both NTL and Chorus under the one name, the Chorus EPG will be reshuffled, with all channels getting a 3 digit number, similar to the way NTL Digital (Cable & MMDS) have their EPG layed out. And IIRC, there's no current slot available in the <100 range ending with a 6 on which to place Channel 6.

As for the EPG not updating, well anytime I've seen their EPG it doesn't work at all, especially on the original Sagem STBs (4000 Series IIRC). These boxes are dog slow, even when just changing channels. If you have one of the newer, smaller Sagem STBs (the ones that don't have the viewing card behind a flap) the advanced EPG should be much, much quicker and also give you listings for the next 7 days. :)

If you press backwards from channel 1 you will go straight to channel 6.
