Oh my god, Dance music is sh!t!

Even in clubs. YOU CANT DANCE TO DANCE MUSIC.

Yeah, not into dance, maybe if I was doing cardio. For weights sessions it's mostly DevilDriver with some other metal tossed in atm. For dance, just...source...some sort of trance/house/hardcore/whatever they call the fast crap compilation, and your bound to find something that suits.

nice man, Devildriver are class, I listen more to Hatebreed or Lamb Of God in the gym. It's that or Cypress Hill Ed, can't stand dance music personally

If you want metal + dance, Fear Factory do a few remix versions and hybrid songs that are worth a look; but The Prodigy wrote the book on Dance/Metal.

Trying to think of more, but they are evading me for now. "DJ Ballon - Techno Rocker" is a straight up dance song, might be worth a look.

yea, the prodagy are good for that, theres loads of savage metal bands out there that are good for the gym, if you like them, trivium, Arch enemy, Soulfly, Sepultura, and if your looking for stuff like nirvana, a band called ~"bush" are SAVAGE, and there all really good for the gym

I think the best stuff is whatever music you like, but should be something livley, be it dance or rock. I couldnt imagine listening to Damien Rice in the Gym.

MetallicA - early stuff...if you've never done squats with Dyers Eve blasting in your ears then i suggest you give it a go!!!

you should download some essential mixes. they're all over an hour long so should be plenty long for your work out.

i listen to david guetta or mylo (his dj sets are a bit different than his chart stuff) when im going running.

my gym has four plasma screens and you plug your headphones in and tune in to what you want - mostly the vault music channel or the box from sky - great stuff! They play remixed chart songs in the background a bit quieter.

Agro rap music with fat ass bass beats. Nothing does it better for me...but then again, i do love my hip hop.

Kraftwerk - Tour de France Soundtrack.

The most perfect 60 min sountrack to a long cardio session.
Music should help provide a beat to the training, not distract you from it.

    My 0.2c...

In addition to Dragan's list I'd like to add:

    Slipknot
    Coal Chamber
    StaticX

    That is all.

Well if I'm doing cardio I listen to fast dance. Tiesto - Adagio for strings, Dj Mesiajh and Tim - Access, The earth shaker that kind of stuff.

But for weights its got to be the Rocky soundtrack. Yes I know but stay with me here! A mate wanted his ipod backed up and I came across a play list "Workout Music". It was all the rocky stuff, eye of the tiger, burning heart and the training montages... He told me to try it and honest its the best workout music ever. The training theme from Rocky 4 gets me pumping like no other...

Cheesey as you like but it works!
