    TV Guide or what ever it is called. I am still on the old version of it like to get into my recordings I press '0' not the green button. I have the telephone line is working. It was meant to change in Feb/Mar wasn’t it?

    I am using Sky+ btw

    Software download.

    Unplug mains lead
    Press and hold "Backup" button.
    Reinsert mains lead whilst continuing to keep "Back up" pressed.
    After 10 seconds or less all 4 leds on front panel should light up.
    If using scart, message saying "updating system software" etc... should appear.
    When led's go out usually within 10 mins, wait a min or two and power box up.

    By mains lead do u mean power lead?

    If so I did that and notting happened!!

    Important steps missing.

    Take out the card first.
    Unplug the box at the mains (yes, power lead)
    Press the backup button on the box itself, not the remote.
    Plug the box in, still holding the backup button until the 4 lights light up, you can let go then.
    Once the message dissappears and/or the 4 LED's go out, put the card back in.
