Vlc player hanging

    Anyway just installed my new mobo. Did a full reinstall. Everythings fine so far except VLC player keeps hanging, moves on for around 10 seconds then hangs again and so on. I tried the new version and got the same. Windows media player plays with no problems whatsover after i installed a codec pack. Anyone ever have this?

    Maybe its gfx card related.
    What gfx card have you got and are the drivers installed properly?

    I've never had a problem with vlc at all.

    X1900XTX. VLC was working this morning before i installed it. I'm using the same drivers.

    Nevermind, apparently the asus utilities disk did'nt install directx9 when i asked it to.
