I haven't got a new pc in years so I'm a bit out of touch re prices and specs! I'll be using the pc for downloading files, burning the occasional dvd and playing the sims2, and my nephew's games - WoW and counterstrike :

    Dimension 5150/E510 (System Identifier. E67LT09F)
    Dimension 5150 PentiumD 820 DualCore(2.80GHz, 800MHz fsb, 2x1MB cache)
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
System Price EUR 662.00 + Vat

Dell recommends Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
Operating System: Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
    Memory: 2048MB DDR400 Dual Channel Memory (2x1024)
Hard Disk Drive: 250GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
Video: ATI Radeon X600 256MB HyperMemory
    Modem: Modem not included
    DVD Drive: 16 X DVD +/- RW

Graphics card could be a bit dodgey for running games like wow and counterstrike. tbh you would probably get a much better system on the fs computer hardware section of boards for €650+ or somebody here would even build you a better system for €700. CPU prices are dropping like crazy at the mo aswell

Yeah, since your nephew plays CS, I doubt he'd mind the chance to build a PC :p
I'd build something like this (€671.49)

Oh yeah, and AMD processor prices are supposed to be dropping sometime in the next 2 weeks; could save a few more quid in the process ;)
