Was thinking that myself (except the "gurlfreend" part), not a good idea but I'm sure you've other shoes that'd go a lot better with it.

What kind of shoes should i wear please??? Suggestions???

  • Subscribers Posts: 19,425 ✭✭✭✭Oryx

    High. Strappy. Black.
If you want red on your feet, paint your toenails;)

Imho, the dress is high impact so keep accessories simple.

And darn you now Im gonna have to browse that catalog.:D

    Ha ha :D

It's just so simple to order things when they are online it feels like you are getting the stuff for nothing.

I already have a really nice pair of black strappy shoes but they are closed toe so i couldn't do any painting.

I still think the black looks a bit harsh with the red though

    Confusion  what do do

Though I don't know a lot about womens shoes, I still think it'd be a huge mistake to go with gold.
Also, regarding the jewellery, keep it to a bare minimum. A small thin necklace and earrings maybe..personally I don't like gold jewellery but I guess its your choice at the end of the day.

Fab Dress, i think silver shoes would be lovely :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,122 ✭✭✭LadyJ

    Yes,silver shoes all the way.

Red and gold tend to look tacky together and red and black can sometimes make you look like a sweet.

    Silver is just right.

Silver hmm yes i think so .... :D

Now to find a nice pair of silver heals...

    Shouldn't be too difficult

    Thanx everyone for the help

Gorgeous dress! Would go for black shoes though

M&S had a dress almost like that last year - and strappy black shoes look best! ;-)

Keep accessoires to a minimum though - you don't want to ruin the effect of the dress!

I would go for black shoes, avoid gold/silver. What's your hair colour?

In that case I would go for black or dark brown with the shoes and definately avoid gold/silver. It's a very nice dress and colour is perfect with dark brown hair.

Seeing as were on the topic of shoes -I just bought a petrol coloured dress for a family wedding. What colour shoes would I get to go with that - black look too harsh. A friend suggested gold - I think this may be too tacky? Not really a gold fan! All suggestions welcome!

what colours petrol?the only thing that comes to mind is gray

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 592 ✭✭✭Deer

With petrol - a nice shade of silver - not bright silver. Or maybe navy shoes.
