Which one should I buy?

    Im gettin a Macbook soon and was just wonderin which one i should get

    I could get one with:
    1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo Processor
    1GB RAM

    or for an extra 100 euro:
    2Ghz Intel Core Duo Processor
    512MB RAM
    [also upgrades the drive to DVD-RW]

    Hi these seem like good and expensive choices! I presume that you are aware of the cost of software for Macs etc..
    Although I'm not familiar witht these processors. Both seem good, but in general the secret to a faster processor is the size of the cache memory, the bigger the better, although the processor speed is important as well the cache is the one to check. I'd go for whichever has the largest cache unless you specifically need a dvd drive. Hope that helps
    Incidentially my laptop has 2mb cache and is a 1.73 Centrino hasn't failed me yet
