    Hey guys,
Just asking a quick question on behalf of my brother is flying home from hawaii on wednesday and the way theyve sent home is through newark airport, he then has 9hours to transefer to JFK.

Do anyone know how to do this? Is there a train/shuttle? Is it expensive?
    Thanks!

Don't think there's anything direct between the airports. I'm very much open to correction though.

JFK is easily accessible from Manhattan, so he could get a bus from Newark - they're just outside arrivals - into Manhattan, (leaves you at the Port Authority Bus Terminal) and see some of the Soprano's opening sequence on the way! .:) He could then get a bus from there to JFK

There's also a train service from Newark to Manhattan - I haven't used it but I think you can take the airport's free monorail to an actual train station near the airport. From there you go to Penn Station and from there to JFK.

Edit: This bit from the above post would seem the most straightforward if he's carrying luggage and doesnt want to walk around Manhattan looking for train stations.
AirTrain Newark to NJ Transit or Amtrak to 34th St/NY Penn Station. Connect to NYC Subway A Train to Howard Beach. Connect to AirTrain JFK to terminals.

Taking the A train howard beach route from manhattan is actually the long way around, i made that mistake once before too... takes you all around to loadsss of stops and takes forever

For a much more direct route take the E train from 34th st (penn station) or 42st st to Sutphin Blvd / Archer Av and from there you can get the Air Train (jfk mono-rail thing)

I found the bus from newark to manhattan the easiest route, down the turnpike and into the lincoln tunnel, only should take bout 20 mins
