presumably to encourage people to buy.
they probably switch around a few of the items in order to keep the timer within the law

My friend bought something on there and said she received an email asking for a copy of her passport or driving licence to confirm her credit card details!?! She told them they had everything they need and if they needed that they could cancel the order so they did - she's waiting for the money to be refunded about a week? Very FISHY
They said they needed ID due to the rise in credit card fraud but I don't think that sounds right at all?

if it was her first order and there were any issues with her address -
ie not the same as the one the cc company have,
    then yes, thats normal.

Normal enough if it is her first order. I remember having to do the same with Expansys.

that clock restarts everyday so its bloody useless.
i did purchase a tv and they did ask me for the same thing ( proof of my address
    with an utility bill).
i wasnt too bothered by that.
now i ll just have to hope i ll get it soon enough
