Neteller problems

    Hey folks,

Just before hitting the hay last night I transferred most of my bankroll from Betfair to Neteller to engage in a little bonus whoring today - hadn't logged into my Neteller account for a good two weeks beforehand, but as Betfair has my details saved there was no reason to. This morning, I tried to log into Neteller to confirm the money is there, and I get the message that my account has been closed! The money is gone from Betfair. Anyone else have their account closed recently? (was wondering if the fact I had the account in dollars might have prompted this, with all the news coming from the US government) If this has happened to you in the past, how long does it take to rectify the situation?

I had my account closed too. I rang up and they said it was because the account had been logged into from a seperate ip address so they closed it instantly. I never log in to neteller from anywhere but home to which they replied that that happens regurlarly enough that their computers get mixed up and close accounts. Just ring up customer service and they should have it all fixed up in minuntes. Great quick customrer service imo.

No problems here, my account is in dollars too, i've withdrawn from sites to neteller and neteller to my bank without any hassle.

Have you upgraded your account? maybe you exceeded your account limits?

Nope and nope, and I don't have access to a landline so can't get through to the buggers! (can't reach that tollfree number from my mobile) I've asked them to call me back since they seem unwilling to engage with me via email. So many problems I've had with this crowd.

    Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before!

Can anyone tell me if i can lodge money into Neteller using my Laser Card and if not can i transfer money from my aib account. And also how long does it take to reach the neteller account?

    Thanks for all you help.

The best thing to do is sdeposit to Prty or another site with Laser and then withdraw to Neteller.Sending it from the bank is way too much effort

I transfer from neteller to my AIB on a regular basis and once it is set up it takes about 3 days to hit the account once it's left Neteller. Never had a problem there.
I did have a problem recently where I could not withdraw to my Neteller debit card, and when I phoned them up they said it was an IP issue. I had moved countries and apparantly that doesn't sit well with Neteller...they wanted me to close that Neteller account and open a fresh one from my new location. Well not so much hassle but then I do move countries on a semi-regular basis so it will be a pain in the ass if that happens. They are trying to sort something else out for me.
As for no access to a landline...ever heard of a phone booth?

You need to get access to a landline I think. It has happened twice to me, once when I logged into Neteller from work instead of home, and another time when apparently my login attempt got re-routed through Spain or something. A quick phonecall and it was sorted.

I told them I would be travelling and they agreed to take the IP protection off my account until I ask them to put it back on. I can contact this number from my mobile: +448703513462, but not some of their other numbers.

Finally got it sorted - they were unable to contact me via my mobile despite 3 or 4 attempts, strange eh? Needed access to a landline to sort it, a phone booth didn't really help as they need to add the number to your account and can only add: a personal mobile; a private landline; or your direct number at work.
RT, they agreed to take the IP protection off when I asked - I'm heading to Oz for 6 months or so later this year so it seems the best idea.
