One of those crazy ideas but is it too late to start training now.
I'm 27 fit, non smoker, workout 3-4 times a week but it's mainly weights don't do alot of CV.

well you have about 15 weeks so it is possible, the Adidas race series are good to do as well. There's information on these races in dublin city marathon link above. There will be a 5 mile, 10 mile, and 13 mile race leading up to the Dublin Marathon.

It would also be a good idea to try and do at least half your runs on grass as running roads is quite hard on the body

the 5 mile in the adidas series was on a couple of weeks back.

training for the dublin marathon from scratch starting right now is possible but it will very very very difficult. It will be hard to start running long distances quick enough to avoid injuries.

But it is worth a shot!

As people said it would be tough going but it is do possible, provided you don't pick up any injuries that might hold you back. My own suggestion starting off is to work on the amount of time your running rather than the distance, once you can go for a long run, you can focus on your distance. Best of luck with it.

Hmmm, they have a 99 day novice training program on there and there's 98 days left until the race. This is suddenly tempting.
