NTL a U.K. ISP?

In another thread about the GAA match being streamed to the internet by RTE, I read that NTL routed their traffic through their U.K. servers. As a result, NTL shows as a U.K. ISP. Is this true? Because if it is, then the BBC facility of streaming some programs could be received by NTL broadband customers. Did any NTL users get World Cup or Wimbledon access on the BBC site?

Must go check what the BBC will present next! (Yes, I'm an NTL customer)

<later>: Have just been watching Tiger Woods in the UK Open on the BBC site!

Those same threads made repeated mention of how you could in fact use the BBC's streaming features :p

It's been said before but routing and addressing are totally seperate.

Your address is registered as an english address so restricted servers like BBC will let you stream from them.

Your traffic is not normally routed via England, its routed normally.
