I really enjoyed them at Roskilde if only because they didnt play too much new stuff (other than Vicarious Ive totally failed to get into 10,000 days). I dunno if Id pay over 50 quid to see them again so soon and probably at a show with more new stuff being played but Id say it will be a good show.

Either way I'll get my tickets as soon as they're onsale!!!

It's not even up on toolband or toolshed yet, so I don't think toooooo many people will know about it, I just told loads of people who've been checking the tool sites religiously but wouldn't of thought of checking ticketmaster
i'm sure it'll be up soon enough though!

Wonder if Isis are support - or Meshuggah....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,130 ✭✭✭✭Karl Hungus

Cool. That'll be worth seeing. I do wonder about support though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

I'd prefer a nice long gig with no support. Although there was no support on the last tour and the sets were a bit short.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,658 ✭✭✭Patricide

if meshuggah are support i will jump off a cliff fake my death see em both and live oout my days as a hobo.

    from toolband:

    13 July, 2006 (05:11pm)

    ROADKILL

On Monday I had a chance to catch up with my friend Aaron Harris, the drummer for ISIS, in order to get some information about the band’s plans as support for Tool during the Summer/Fall tour. After lunch at BeniHana in Encino, drinks at the “Fox & Hounds” pub (consisting of various ales and snakebites), Coronas and margaritas at my place and then more drinks and dinner at “Firefly”(yes, we both ordered the ‘Secret’ Burger), I felt like I had enough… material for a pretty decent news post. Before continuing, I would just like to add that Aaron was right on time for our lunch meeting (although walking the wrong way when I first spotted him), a good quality which he shares with another drummer who is a good friend of mine, and one that tour managers greatly appreciate (just ask Craig).

yeah, i wouldn't rule them out..
    i'd love to see them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

Melvins would be better than Meshuggah and Isis combined.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 185 ✭✭damomeasa

i think seeing isis in the point would be awful.

    isis live = awful

they were bad in the tbmc, they'll be wretchingly bad in the point

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,110 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

Meh ,if Isis are confirmed as back up I will orgasm again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88 ✭✭ShotgunblueZ

Super news...I really cannot wait for this and couldnt give a cat's mickey who's supporting [though Isis would be sweet as I really enjoyed their gig in the TBMC]...ideally, as someone else said: Tool playing for 2 hours sans support would be great but I doubt that will materialise...

    Roll on November....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 337 ✭✭MunkyHed

We were sayin to each other after the Deftones gig that the only bands we really would kill to see before we die would be TOOL and Rage (They might reform ya know)
    Happy f%$kin days!!!
