Yip. Before that was a Transformers one I think.
I always wanted one with an IR/remote control facility.

Ah yes.... Michael Knight himself would be proud of such a useful gadget.
Perfect for annoying Dad when you get home from school, or using it when teacher was showing boring BBC2 Learning Zone programs :D

I found it quicker to just do it myself than tapping those tiny keys.
It also had a feature that allowed you to store and dial phone numbers...

I'm so tempted to get a remote control one now. :/

I still have that exact model of Casio lurking around in my drawer somewhere.

I had one of the first 'clunky' Casio calculator watches in 1984, then later in the decade one of the sleeker 'angled' ones, which I found recently, but the rubber-keys had totally rotted!

Remember the 'number-zapping' game on them?

Yes, I was a sad child!

I still have a fetish for multi-functional watches. I currently have one of those Tissot T-Touch watches that looks like a normal watch but is also a fully functional compass, barometer and thermometre. I also have one of those newer television-watches, but I always wanted one of the original Seiko ones from the early 80's.

I had one. They were crap tho. The buttons were (clearly) very small and you ended up having to punch them with the tip of a pencil.

Ah, those were the days! Had one with the protruding buttons and I remember thinking how I would like the angled one with the flat buttons :D

I even had one of those LCD game watches which had 2 buttons and you wouuld move left or right... can't remember what the game was!

I had a calculator watch that my grandfather gave me, but I don't think it was Casio, I think it was a cheaper version :)

Is everyone forgetting about the TV remote capabilities of this machine?! Oh, the laughs we had in class when watching a video. The channel changes and some smug b*stard down beside me would have a smirk on his face. I would have killed for one of those.

Instead I had a Casio one with a thermometer in it. Supposedly Ireland can regularly hit 30 degrees in February.

YEah I had one but only one of the cheap-knock offs bought from Tuthills in Clondalkin village :)

The battery died after a month and my parents couldn't afford a new one as they were more expensive than the watch. Oh well.

I had one. I had more than one in fact and still have them. The first only did numbers, if I recall, but the second had an address book and multiple alarms - imagine being able to store loads of phone numbers to be used when you got to that payphone. Who needs a mobile with such wonderful technologies! Oh I'll get nostalgic now...

The TV remote control one was cool. So many good times in school... :-)
