Just wondering what lads are going for in the stiffling heat.
I'm a long sleeve man meself, and get them rolled up when the weather is hot.
    What peoples views of this?
I've heard a shirt sleeve and tie is a big fashion no no?
I dont have to wear ties in my current job, but if I did, I think I'd ask the boss to ditch them when it's this warm.

EDIt - bah, jsut realised I missed the long sleeve, no tie, sleeves rolled up option - Just use long sleeve, tie and sleeves rolled up here...

Weird post, I know... but I'm bored and the heat has gotten to me head..

What ya wearing in the office in the warm weather? 39 votes

Mixture. I dont have to wear a tie, so I sometimes wear short sleeve shirts but again if its too warm, i just roll up the sleeves except when then they are double cuff jobs

I voted short sleeve no tie by accident, I think, wear a seriously nice shirt, no tie, if you can open it a bit aroudn the neck.. Or else a proper shirt, proper tie..

The 'clean cut' office worker can look so cool if done right.. The best I've ever seen was a black guy, in an orange pinstripe suit, white shirt with orange stripes, and orangey tie.. Then on top of all that, he had a 'fro! Looked so slick..

Short sleeved shirt - 'used car salesman'.

    Careful!

Detective Sipowicz wore a short sleeved shirt and a tie and he was the epitome of cool.

    Observe:

I personally wear a long sleeved shirt sans tie, rolled up sleeved if it comes to it.

I read in the Irish Appointments section of the Sunday Times at the weekend, that if you're working in a formal office enviroment you should wear a long sleeved shirt and roll up the sleeves.

Just thought I would inform you gents of the expert's opinion. :)

I'm in the long sleeved, rolled up with no tie boat. I too feel discriminated against.

Anyway, long sleeve is the preference. You have an option of both, and rolled up sleeves look alot better than short sleeves, and you can vary the length. I really don't like the cut of short sleeves at all.

I'm supposed to wear a tie, but don't. Long sleeved rolled up.

Short sleeves, no tie, but I wear this all year so the heat makes no difference.

Tokyo employee here. Short sleeve is a must these days, no tie as well with open neck. Still find my underarm part going transparent on some days though. Thankfully its become socially acceptable to wear short sleeve and no ties over here. The Japanese government started a 'coolbiz' initiative encouraging this to save energy. Seems like people were wearing long sleeved closed shrits with ties and then turning on the aircon to low when working.

Bad thing is now that everyone in my office wears short sleeve we have the aircon turned to the government recommended 28degrees!! So, in short Im damned to sweat either way.

I normally wear suits but ditch jacket and roll up the shirt sleeves when it gets warm. Pity, cufflinked sleeves are annoying to roll up.
also, tie with top button open :)

Althuogh if I have a day planned of running cables or racking servers, I sometimes would wear a short sleeve shirt.
