    Hello All!

What is the best way to access my money while abroad in NZ?

I'm getting a cirrus card but i've been told that the limit on that is €200 a day.

    I'm with bank of ireland.

Can i open an account in NZ and transfer the money to it? Would that be better?

I presume you are travelling over on the new zealand working holiday visa?

Easy way is get somebody you trust (parent, girlfriend whatever) to be what I think is called a trustee. All you do is say that you want this person to be allowed to handle your bank business while you are abroad. Sign the paper. And when you get your new zealand bank account details tell the person at home and get them to do a internation money transfer.

BTW, the rates on the cirrus transactions are horrible. If you end up having to use it take out large amounts at a time to reduce the crazy comission charges.

Would i be better to just use a credit card?
