Beta patch

    I patched up with the beta patch,has anyone else patched up with it?.There are no servers what so ever.I'm going to sit it out and wait for the rest of the patch rather than uninstalling the whole game and reinstall and patching up again.
    Played vietnam for the first time in ages last night...still a klass game.

    There are over 40 beta servers aith about 30 in Europe.

    Are you sure you used the beta2 patch and not the beta1 ?

    I've been using it since it came out. NO CTD and for the moment no red/blue tag bug. EA are offering AF download codes to anyone who can provide them with screenshots of the red/blue bug.

    I got the patch from the link that was put up here...so I presume it's the same one as yours?

    1.4 beta is the one installed.

    Make sure its the 2nd Beta, and not the first beta. Also, when you install BF2, and patch it up to 1.3, then do a copy, patch it, rename the original "BF2 Beta4", and the copy "BF2".

    The link here refers to beta1 which came out 3 weeks ago. Since then there has been a beta2.

    As the_syco said, follow the instructions in the readme.txt so that you won't have to reinstall everything if you want to go back to 1.3.

    I patched up with 1.4 and now bf2 won't even launch.Before you ask,no I did not back it up as Id probably mess it up trying too.If it worked for you guys why did it not work for me.
    I'll sit it out and wait for the full release..other wise vietnam here I come!!

    What do you mean by 'it won't even launch' ?

    And backing up was kinda easy. You just needed to copy the Battlefield 2 folder and paste it somewhere else !

    When I launch bf2 the screen goes black then flickers and crashes too desk top...it wont launch too the log in screen or anything.The 1.3 launched no probs,but there are no servers they all moved on to 1.4 as u know.

    Errr, there are over 5000+ 1.3 servers and less than 60 1.4 servers.


    1.4 isn't actually out yet.

    I will say one thing BFV is still a class game, no more patches to worry about their either. How long for the 1.5 patch then I cant wait.
