BACKLASH (Live) // D-Mode (Depeche Mode Tribute)
Crawdaddy (part of pogo night) Saturday 22 July

Busy week for Backlash this week with Optimo on Thursday and
out monthly residency at Crawdaddy continues this Saturday, following on from previous guests
Who Made Who, Nathan Fake, Phiilth Live, 8Ball, Digital Circus and Putsch 79.

Saturday 22 July see's Backlash go all eighties on us (as if we hadn't enough already!)
Our musical host for the night will be Backlash resident Steve Reynolds who was there and lived it all
but did not wear the make up! and will dig deep into the crates to bring us tracks you know and tracks
    you wont.

Expect to hear tracks from the likes of…
    Heaven 17,
    Patrick Cowley,
    Soft Cell,
    Bobby Orlando,
    Sparks
    Tom Tom Club,
    Klein & MBO,
    Thomas Dolby,
    Human League,
    Giorgio Moroder,
    Tubeway Army
    Frankie Goes To Hollywood,
    Yellow Magic Orchestra & more.

On the live front we've got something different for you, our favourite tribute band D-Mode who
live and breath Depeche Mode and their music.

Originally a product of Britain's new romantic movement, Depeche Mode went on to become
the quintessential electro-pop band of the 1980s; one of the first acts to establisha musical identity
based completely around the use of synthesizers, Depeche Mode began their existence
as a bouncy dance-pop outfit but gradually developed a darker, more dramatic sound that
ultimately positioned them as one of the most successful alternative bands of their era and
eventually went on to become one of the biggest bands in the world with songs such as
Personal Jesus, No Good, Just Can't Get Enough, People Are People, Behind The Wheel,
Walking in My Shoes, Strangelove and Enjoy The Silence many of which you'll hear at Backlash Live

They recently released their latest album 'Playing The Angel' and sold out the Point in record
time so we reckon this is the perfect time for D-Mode to play Backlash Live

Also playing that night is Funk'D Void in the club room. more at www.bodytonicmusic.com
