can anyone help me as to how to figure out postage?

I am trying to sell stuff on Ebay, and I feel like my postage fees are higher than most other peoples, but it is hard to tell, as there aren't a lot of other Irish sellers.

I just want to sell some DVDs and videos, I calculated the postage on AnPost's website and I am getting about €3.50 postage for a 'packet' containing a 3 dvd set. (to Ireland only)

And can anyone explain how to figure out postage? When I try to determine worldwide postage or European or even UK postage on the AnPost website it asks you for a city or area of Europe (as if I know when I am selling on Ebay!). And then, most days I can't even get the AnPost website's international postage calculator to work at all.....

    grrr....
