Anyone know about Ghost tours?

I saw an ad in a free dublin paper, a guy called Gerry is doing tours staying in haunted places. I only got to talk to him on the phone for a minute the other day, he said he was in Ross Castle while I was taliking to him and he had to go because there was psychic phenomena going on. I hope he gets back to me. Has anyone heard about this?

I know that a fair few crowds do them, i've even looked at a few myself, but i find them very expensive and much prefer doing Investigations than tours as the groups are smaller and everyone is there for a similar reason.

I'd be the same way. Plus, the added benefit is that the investigation lasts longer than a typical tour, and it's much more involving too.

having said all that, I do usually enjoy ghost tours, the Dublin one was the first one I ever did and it was very good, I have been on loads since mainly in the US on various hols. Many of the US ones last a decent amount of time and the people who run them know their local history, in many cases they have published a book on their experiences etc I usually get them to keep the experience fresh in my mind. I think I've posted this info before, but I might be an idea to do a sticky on peoples experiences on various tours etc as they can range from very dissapointing to very good.
