Hey Dave, have you tried logging in as administrator with a blank password, under the this computer domain?

Unfortunately its not very easy to get into a machine, when you dont have credentials. You can use a tool documented here, to change the administrator password on the machine. Download it to a floppy and boot your computer using this.

Because 2K is supposed to be more secure than NT, more popular tools like l0phtcrack mightnt always work (l0phtcrack exploits the weaker NTLM algorithm NT used to hash passwords)as it uses kerberos to do its securing dirty work. But NTLM is sometimes used to hash passwords, in particular when storing credentials used to connect to another machine. Therefore L0phtcrack may actually work in your computers case,as it was probably used on a domain

    Best of luck!
