Pure Scum Mentality

I was at the Dublin V Offaly match yesterday, and overall, a great day was had by myself and my mates, BUT, I have one very big grievance.

You see Dublin is, imo, not a gaelic county and there is a real scum element who don't really support gaelic, not really, they support 'Dublin', not the Dublin gaelic footbal team, just 'dublin'.

My Dad, for example, loves the sport, which seperates him from the scum.
He would watch a Cork or Galway match and enjoy it as much as a dublin match, it doesn't matter who is playing for him, he loves the game itself.

My Dad won't go to Croke Park anymore, becasue the 'new breed' of supporter disgusts him.

Whilst at the match yesterday I witnessed male and female Gardai, no older then myself, being pelted with bottles and cans.

One young female Gardai, whilst walking past the front of the Nally stand, was drenched with cider, and this act was actually supported by a crowd of uneducated louts, who cheered on the perpetrator.

I am sure that anyone that attended the match will have seen the streaker incident at half time. The incident itself was good natured enough, the atmosphere was light and friendly, but when the streaker exited the pitch and the Gardai attempted to apprehend hime, the crowd intervined, and a little scuffle broke out.
I couldn't really see what happened to be honest, but two minute's later I notice two lads on their hands on and knees, making their way through the crowd, from security.
When asked what the hell they were at, one of the boasted of how he had used the scuffle as an opportunity to 'loaf' one of the security, and his mate had 'decked' another one.

Again, when they told the crowd what had taken place they were congratulated and patted on the back.

This carry on just sickens me to be honest.

    Pure scum mentality.
