    why are most poker websites so spammy (loads of flashing adverts ect.)
    it seems like they design the sites similar to porn sighs.
    And why do people who are normaly disgusted by spam happy to accept it when it comes to poker?

    Affiliates and people who want referral links need their links clicked on. So they want them as flashy and eye catching as possible.

    I think the reason some people are ok with the whole poker banner thing is because it's a product that could truly benefit them. You could sign up to play poker and win a million dollars. It's possible and it's happened to nobodies just like you and me. But when the banner is about something that makes your genitals bigger or for a "No Fee" LOL credit card, people are automatically putting negative connotations in their head about the legitamacy. I think that Porn and AOL have made spam a bad word. Go to Hawaii, they love it there.
