8 minute abs

    Hey all!
    I've been doing the 8 minute abs workout for a couple of days and noticing the difference already its really good.

    But only thing is the back of my neck is straining during the sit-ups and crunches and I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

    If I hold my head it eases but is that the wrong way to do it?

    you are working your abs and no its not wrong whether you use your hands or not.Ive seen different people doing it with their hands behind their head and others doing it without their hands...
    as far as those 8 minute videos go,I have ones for 8 min ab,chest,buns and thigh workouts.if anyone wants them il upload them

    Its best to avoid holding the back of your head during it, place your finger tips at the side of your head. While doing the sit up most people have a tendancy to use their hands to lift their heads and it can cause neck problems. As for doing them, what i found best is imagine your trying to move your ribs and your hips closer together using your abs. But generally try to keep yourhead and neck area relaxed. If im missing anything hopefully someone can correct me

    hey Fatal, thanks for that, I just wasnt comfortable doing them exactly as the guy in the video, my neck was straining. Its more comfortable to rest my head in my hands as I do it. No strain then on my back or neck.



    I'm gonna check out the Youtube now for the other 8 mins videos. Are they under your name?

    Can they be saved onto my computer? Or do I have to Youtube everytime to watch them?

    The excercises in the 8 min abs are all different types of crunches, you can go to youtube and search it and it comes up right away.

    Think i will alternate between abs and arms one day then legs and buns the next day. See how it goes.

    I think the point Dragan was making was you don't need an "8-minute xxx" program, just do deadlifts and bench\overhead press.

    they are brilliant, i just done all 4 this morning. The abs one is great nice and easy but im seeing results ;)

    I actually intended to do just two sessions each day, say abs and buns one day then legs and arms the next day. But they are easy enough to do all 4 in one day. I've just done all 4 now actually, a bit puffed after them, the buns one really works your legs and buns hard.

    I'd say its safe enough to do all 4. At the end of each workout the guy says 'great work - see you in 24 hours' ! So that'd lead me to belive its cool to do all 4 every day.

    The guy in the video and the music is total cheesemeister stuff but its a fun video and its working well on me so far. I'm not really a gym person, so these workouts are perfect for me.

    i haven't actually looked at any of the videos, but just remember the abs like any other muscle group shouldn't be trained on consecutive days
