    PP 5/10 6-max
Hero has 1700 in the SB
    Villain covers in lp somewhere
I dont have a whole lot on villain.

    Preflop
Villain open minraises, I just call with AsKs from the blinds - sometimes I raise, sometimes I just call, this time I just call. Tight reg calls in the BB.

    Flop (60)
    Ad 9h 7h
I lead 44, reg calls, villain makes it 150, I call, reg folds

    Turn (405)
    Jd
    I lead 350, villain calls

    River (1105)
    9d
    I shove for 1200

Do we like it? Do we like the river?

Dunno if I like the river shove. What worse hands pay you off? Not many. What better hands fold?

I don't like it. I think you're only getting called by a better hand here, AJ might fold to this action that's about the only one. What do you put the villain on when he calls your turn bet? looks like Axh, a set or possibly JTh?

Yeah, its pretty marginal on the river alright.

Thing is, I dont figure he has a big hand (like set/twopair), so he could have AK/AQ/Ahxh/some other "big" draw.

I dont think he will ever bluff the river if I check, as its pretty obvious that I would be planning on a check/call.

And when I 3 barrel bluff in these kinda spots then I get called by AQ and AT, so why not here?

Perhaps he folds AK, perhaps he calls with AQ-, but he is not very likely betting any worse hand if I check, so what about a shove to maybe get him to fold a split/call with a worse hand?

Anyway - he thought and folded.

Dunno if I like it or not, but dunno what the best line is.

If I had Kh Th and managed to get to the river in those circumstances I dont think I could help myself from pushing. I reckon inducing bluffs (or rather allowing one) is better here than possibly stopping an unlikely split. Also he instacalls with a FH or a 9, but folds AJ/Q (probably!) so I dont really like it at all.

he may call with Ax thinking your trying to push him off a split pot. i still dont like the push, if he calls then your losing majority of the time

AJ is ahead of me ... which makes it worse right?
    :)

So what do I do then? Check/call ?
I think I let him off cheap with AhXh and AQ if I do that.

I like the push because AQ checks behind.

I don't mind a c/c either but I don't know how easy it is to induce bluffs at this level though, or how often you see people call 2 barrels with fd's.
