    hey,

why is it when your with someone you get loads of attention from girls and there seems to be offers left right and centre but then when your single theres not as much attention?? is there some mad signal that men give out when they are with someone that makes them more appealing to women?

I think when some people are in a relationship they don't have that desperation that certain single men/gals desperate for a partner/sex ooze....

Probably because people always want what they can't have, like they might want you but then you are in a relationship.:(

oddly, i've had the exact opposite issue. i was with a girl for a year until may and while with her i got no interest (not that i could tell anyway), and since then i've been getting a lot of interest... and i'm by no means a looker. makes no sense but fewk it, i'm having fun ;)

yeah same here. Was in relationship for 3.5 years or so, and once broken up and all was forgotten with that, had to fight them off with a stick! ah not really, but lets just say the month April was an interesting month for me. Its died down again now, Ive no money and no interest in relationships etc...

While I was with ex, Id say i got about 2 aproaches in 3.5 years, but then again she was with me nearly every minute. it differs for people

It's probably because, when you're in a relationship, you may well be more confident, relaxed and just out to enjoy yourself. If you're not looking to be unfaithful to your partner, then when you're speaking to members of the opposite sex you'll probably be concentrating more on the content of your conversation and enjoying yourself.

In other words, you're far more pleasant to be around than someone who's all frustrated sexual tension and flirtatious moves.

Wouldn't approaching a single person imply some interest in them (and risk of rejection or misunderstanding of intentions), whereas approaching a group as just being sociable?

No woman wants what no woman wants, i.e. woman only want you if you are seen to be desirable by the pack.

I totally know what you mean except I am female!

When your going out with a boy there are lots of offers and loads of attention from other males.

when your single there appears to be no nice signle men left in the world and the offers drop.

Personally my theory is men want what they can't have!

has to be a combination of wanting what you can't have and the lack of oozing desperation like magoo said or something, with my boyf just over a month and the week that we got together, or just before, five guys asked me out, having been single a year and knowing at least three of these guys more than that!

Confidence and high self-esteem are attractive. Having a gf or bf boosts both of these, so you appear more attractive.

i think your theory applies with both male and females

It's because you're safe, the girls can't be accused of being forward or slutty because you've a girlfriend and you can't try it on with them so they are much more open and relaxed.

    I get the same.

When I'm single women tend to wait for me to make the first move. When I am in a relationship woman get so bloody forward.

I'll be standing beside my g/f and they will be smiling, bumping, rubbing against my back, all sorts of ****, right there in front of my g/f.

I think it may have something to do with her though. Women get so amazingly jealous of her. Like nothing I have ever seen before. Think it's because of her figure or whatever but whatever it is bloody irritating especially when my g/f has the eyes of a hawk!

Some of these idiots have even caused rows between us because I didn't somehow get rid of them sooner.

    Women are a strange bunch.

I notice this trend too alot, When you go out and you have a really nice girl with you, like I mean a stunner now, all those chav bos who generally you would hardly even bat an eyelid at, you know they were the type that beat you up in the School Toilets etc.

All of these fellas like to suddenly come talking to you, typical thrash, Great weather before suddenly paying attention to your woman. What is really funny is watching your girl reject them and watching them withdraw off to badger someone else.

    Not necessarily so.
The men that My girlfriends always found attractive, I always felt were boorish and far from handsome. We don't all share the same brain when we get together.

beause you probable come across as more confident and happy / content in yourself and your surroundings, which is a very attractive quality.

I think it is because when you are with your girlfriend other women can approach you without you thinking they are interested so you both relax. They view you as asexual.
