Oh my god:eek: I think I've come to a sudden realisation that, we are addicted to the net and well Admitting is the first step now is what can be done then?

So what's going on, are we doomed forever cus the net will go on forever and ever and ever.. we are all addicted to the net by now (I'll try not to point any fingers at anyone) we all say we have social lives... bt we are turning into nerds and zombies that do banking, shopping, chatting, looking up our hobbies etc:D ... even having a sociable beer beside the laptop....

Runs around the sitting room the IIINNNNNTERRRRNNEEET IS TAKING us OVr.. nnnerooohhhhh.... ehem. sorry there got carried away. But seriously are we all turning into internet junkies? I mean it's like electricity even more important (no wait you need leci to power the net)what is the limit per day? as in terms of your health? and how is it affecting your social life, lol. as my daily time on it i haven't a hope of passing any of them, I haven't a hope in passing, you see, I've no friends...:D

It's all part of Skynet's plan

the net is great but yeah it can take over. it also depends alot on your living situation. If your at home spending time in your room for long periods of time is not seen as abnormal but when your sharing a house with a few people it is.

i think it all depends on personal cercumstance.

It will be interesting if it actually stays a 100%..

It'd be honest if it stayed near 100% :)

Oh yes, unfortunately my life takes time away from the net but I have occasionally flaked out of a boring event to surf the "information superhighway" instead!

It's like, totally gnarly dude! :D

I'm addicted to the Internet in the same way that I'm addicted to running water or electricity; it's pretty much a nessesity for work, entertainment, education, socialising, timewasting, and so on.

Not something I'd be booking into rehab for.

If the internet is a *nessesity* for you for socialisation, education and to a lesser extent entertainment you *do* need rehab.

oh, look at that.. a spelling error.

The 'nets not the only place I do these things but it's certainly become a part of them all.

(and maybe necessity is too strong a word... I can quit anytime I want :P ...just like I could find a well to draw my water from, if I wanted)

I used the internet to wean myself off hopeless tv soaps. However I find myself caught up in another web of addiction (see what I did there?! Web? mwuahaha). Also, my addiction to the net has seen a dramatic increase in my tea and cigarette intake. My body despises me.

If I want to know something I google it and if I've no credit I use webtexts...
that and I'm an addict anyway but still >.>

Everything about the internet, computers, gaming is excellent. If i'm not tweaking and optimizing my OS, i'm pulling parts in and out of my computer, surfing the interweb (i have a favourites folder that has about 20 links of sites with tech news, game news, virals, funny vids/jokes/pics, forums, boards, SIGs that I have to make my way through every day) or gaming online or playing single player.

Like was said, its not an addiction its a necessity now. I don't really watch TV at all (I usually just download the shows I want to watch so I can watch them on my schedule) so that frees up the time to be on the computer. The computer lets us watch/learn/read what we want when we want and for as long as we want. We have everything and anything at our fingertips 24/7, you can buy/sell/steal whatever you want, whenever you want.

    Why wouldn't you love it?

I find myself misplacing my keys in the house and thinking to myself, "right, I need to go to start/search/keys", if only RL could be that simple :D

BTW, before you picture me as a 400lb nerd, i'm 6ft1, 200lb, I play rugby and football and am heading out now to the beach in about an hour (gotta luv el nino).
