Is this the most over-used media phrase in Ireland.

I am sick of listening to this being used in the Irish media again and again.

Every drugs find now at and Irish port or Airport is the "largest ever" -
does anyone else notice this ?

Are the drugs we import now larger than ever or is this a term used to
    embellish a story.

Maybe the amount of drugs they find is just getting bigger.

    Here's another.

Retailers are expecting this to be the biggest Christmas ever in terms of shopping.

    Different suppository situation

"Aye thanks, for all the good theyll do me I might as well shove them up me arse!"

Re the media, report in the local paper there some lad done for 60 odd grams of hash with intent to sell. Just over 2 ounces

Apparently enough to make "650 hand rolled cigarettes".

So thats one ounce equals 325 spliffs.

    Quarter ounce equals 80 spliffs.

Me bollix. Ive seen reports in the local press claiming some guys quarter was enough to make 250 joints.

    Peter Griffin?

Quite clearly the guy from Trainspotting.....

Well I guess it's the media over-blowing things as usual. It's not like they don't do it constantly. e.g. a house in Templeogue had to drop the price by 75,000 so 'the bubble was about to burst'. Not really, it was just a horrible house and well overpriced.

Still, it was a pretty big drugs haul; between 5 and 9 million? That's a lot of drugs by any standards. So the distributors get hit hard. That is a good thing.,

Hmmm do have to wonder how much of the evidence goes missing when I see this...
