Not sure if this belongs here, but I figured most people here would have done what I'm trying to do at some point.

I have a standard CD case (1 fitting) that is cracked and I'm trying to replace it with a spare. I need to get at the backing card which is behind where the CD is placed. I was under the impression that I could "open" the case and pull out the card. Is that possible?

yep see the swinging part of the cd?you can lift that off the back part and replace it with another swinging part or you can pop open the back and get the paper out by pushin the middle of the back of the case and it will give way

hell ya, may need a bit of force but u sure will be able to get to it.... otherwise you can just get the cover off the net and print off ( need a good colour printer though )

I do this all the time - the part that houses the CD (not the door) is always in two pieces. At the spine of the cover lift the part that slots in with the door away from the rest of the spine. You can get it like this shape \_/ with the left most being the normal door and the right most being the actual tray lifted out.
