Hi, I have broadband with Eircom and I am trying to open a Port on my Netopia Cayman 3300. I have looked at guides on portforwarding.com but what they say should appear does not!
So has anyone succesfully opened a port on their Netopia Cayman 3300, and if so could they please help me out?

Do you have the section for NAT? It should be in there.

Looks suspiciously like a page for setting up port forwarding to me!

(The Netopia 3346 page on portforward.com will guide you through the process)

Change the port in uTorrent, and then change it on your router and test it again. If it's still showing as not forwarded, are you running a software firewall of some sort?

Ive tried loadsa different ports but still no banana!
Yeah im using Zone Alarm but uTorrent has access to everything.

Kerio Personal Firewall blocks utorrent - turn it off.

Did you try disabling zonealarm - then using utorrent ?

Did you "save and restart" your router?

Click on the firewall tab on the left. Set to Low. This is asked so many times every day. I'm the only person pointing it out. Time to go write a foolproof guide and see if I can get it stickied....
