Check out bridgestone muay thai - Muay thai incorporates elbows and knees opposed to standard kickboxing. It's a tough sport but one of the most effective striking arts in the world - hands down. Great for self defense or staying in shape.

They had a website, can't remember the address. Paddy posts on here so I'm sure he'll help you out.

    Hey man,

Bridgestone Muay Thai is near the Mater Hospital on Blessington Lane. No daytime classes as far as I know. 7pm monday to thursday.

If you fancy trying my place in Glasnevin check out the link below. We're great! (I would say that though):)

If MT is not your thing, try Fight Club Gan Teora, Holy Family Parish Centre, Prussia Street.

Gan Teora, I doubt knees and leg kick is used in Gan Teora.

I trained Gan Teora in Synge Street for a few years, and its more full contact kickboxing with kicks above legs. (in training drills leg and knee were done a bit, but all sparring was above the belt).

Still it was good hard training, and plenty of sparring, and opportunity to compete if you wanted to.
